Chia seeds in granola were a brainstorm with lightning that struck just the right places.

Fig Hemp PB Granola

4 cups GF rolled oats
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup hempseeds
3/4 cup chia seeds
2 teaspoons gomasio
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 allspice

1/3 cup untoasted sesame oil
1/3 cup agave
2 tablespoons peanut butter
6 figs
1 inch chunk ginger

2 cups raisins
1 cup chopped figs

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (do not heat sesame oil over 325 degrees). Line a baking sheet with parchment or Silpats. In a large bowl, stir together the oats, coconut, seeds, and spices.  In a blender or food processor, blitz the sesame oil, agave, pb, figs, and ginger until uniformly combined in a gel.  Add wet to dry and mix well. Spread on baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes, stirring at 10-15 minute intervals. Remove from the oven and cool on a rack. Stir in the dried fruit. Store in airtight containers.
