Gothic Granola

Pancakes, in general, are my culinary nemesis.

Let's just say that I'm super-thankful I get to eat chocolate-banana protein smoothie with chocolate cereal for breakfast because I'm an adult and I can make my own choices. I also saved a bunch of money on BLOG HOSTING! (I bet you thought I was going to say car insurance. Nope!)  I'm baaaaack with Blogger!  By transferring domain hosting and changing platforms, I'm back at the simpler space of Blogger.  Yes, this change broke every link and image in all almost 400 posts I've made since April 2011.  Yes, I just finished earlier this year finally  reposting all of the 2012-2013 posts with pictures, heavily edited, and now I have to do all that over again.  It's all worth it, for saving twenty times what the hosting and platform change costs me now.

I just finished watching The Neon Demon , and I had the same squeamish feeling while attempting to eat a cherimoya as I have just now.  Spoiler alert: The Neon Demon involves human blood ingestion. ...Without moving to a tropical climate.  I live in the Rocky Mountains at 9,000 feet above sea level and I like living here.  Even when it's 13 degrees Fahrenheit outside during the day and especially when it's snowing.  [caption id="attachment_5333" align="aligncenter" width="287"] Wanna go for a swim?[/caption]

Cast iron pans: sign of a true DIY-er, in this day and age of convenience food and non-stick cookware.  Or a sign of someone who grew up in the Southern or Western United States.  Or the sign of a "foodie" poseur.
