Basic Fried Rice

Continuing the theme of "so basic it shouldn't need a recipe and I'd rather be writing" posts, here is the vegan and gluten-free fried rice recipe TC makes for me when we have leftover fried rice.

The great things about fried rice are that it uses up leftovers and can be customized many ways. The version pictured didn't have tofu (I ate the leftover grilled tofu before it made it into the wok), but TC usually puts a protein in it, half with tofu for me and half with chicken or beef for him. That's what happens when you live with an omnivore, making this dish even better--everyone gets to eat the same thing, just with different proteins.

It started with brownies from The Allergy-Free Cook Bakes Cakes and Cookies brownies.

These are "Vaseline glass" or "uranium glass" and are UV-reactive, as shown with the blacklight.

Now TC wants a full civil defense kit (vintage, of course). I grew up drinking water contaminated with naturally-occurring uranium, so I'm beyond caring about a little extraneous radiation.

Lastly, this seems like an odd quote for chamomile tea, a tea that's meant to calm and sleepify the drinker.  I suppose proper sleep aids in balancing one's life, eh?

Celestial Seasonings is "local" tea now since it's packed just a few miles away.
