S'mores Cinnamon Rolls
What you label wheat flour in a half-GF household:
POISON!
And I think I got gluten/dairy/egg contaminated at La Fogata in Thornton. No more Mexican food after going to Costco. Detox tea to the rescue! This is one of my top ten favourite posts, no joke.
S'mores for breakfast? Duh!
I made these s'mores cinnamon rolls after having made s'mores bars recently and having leftover marshmallows after camping at the Great Sand Dunes (again).
The recipe is much the same as these chai cinnamon rolls from 2014, except these are high-altitude and non-commercial GF flour mix.
Lookit that rise. Go, sourdough, go!
I put a basic glaze (powdered sugar + hot water) on top since I still wanted to be able to eat these for breakfast.
The peculiar brown colour of these is not from teff, as one might suspect, but from red cargo rice (BTW, I added sources to that article. I think I would be a bad internet citizen if I left that minor edit out to dry). I ran out of brown rice flour but had a glut of red rice. I used my Vitamix to whiz up some red rice flour.
Melty, burny marshies!
